Atakum Business Email (Exchange Online)

Short answer: Exchange Online is Microsoft's email, calendar and contacts service only; it does not include the Office apps, Teams or OneDrive. It is not the same thing as Microsoft 365. If the team needs business email, Exchange Online is enough instead of the full suite. SMB Teknoloji chooses the plan, supplies the licences, migrates your old email without loss and sets up email security for your domain.

How it differs from Microsoft 365

Plan 1 or Plan 2?

• Exchange Online Plan 1: 50 GB mailbox per user, online archive, spam and phishing protection (Exchange Online Protection). Enough for most businesses.
• Exchange Online Plan 2: 100 GB mailbox, auto-expanding archive, data loss prevention (DLP) and litigation hold. For teams with legal retention duties or heavy correspondence.

Migration

• Source: Gmail / Google Workspace, cPanel and hosting mail (IMAP), a legacy Exchange server or another Microsoft tenant
• Emails, folders, calendars and contacts are migrated; attachments and dates are preserved
• No downtime: old mail is copied in the background first, the MX record is switched outside working hours and the final delta is taken in a second pass; nothing arriving on the day is lost
• Outlook and phones are connected to the new account; staff receive a one-page guide

Domain and delivery security

• SPF, DKIM and DMARC records: your mail does not land in spam folders and nobody can send fake mail in your company's name
• Monitoring of DMARC reports and a gradual move from monitoring to enforcement
• Phishing and malicious-attachment filters, quarantine rules, a warning tag on external mail
• Secure sending for web forms, printers and applications (application permission or connector)

Shared mailboxes

Shared mailboxes such as info@, accounts@ or support@ need no licence up to 50 GB; access is granted per person. A leaver's mailbox is converted into a shared mailbox so no correspondence is lost.

What is not included
