Definition
Turkish Law 5651 regulates publications on the internet and the obligations of access providers. Workplaces, hotels, cafés, dormitories and schools that give others internet access count as collective-use providers and must keep internal IP allocation logs showing which internal address went online and when. To prove the logs were not altered afterwards they must be signed with a time stamp from a provider authorised under the Electronic Signature Law 5070 and retained for the period the regulation requires. A plain text log file does not meet the requirement. When an official request arrives, the requested date range is extracted from these records.
How SMB Teknoloji uses it
We install the log server, configure time-stamp signing and retention, and audit existing systems to see whether they really sign; a monthly check is part of the contract.
