Definition

PoE is the standard that carries both data and electrical power over a network cable. IP cameras, wireless access points, IP phones and some sensors run from the Ethernet cable alone, with no separate socket. Power comes from a PoE switch or an in-line injector. The standards set the power limit per device (IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, 802.3bt); the switch's total power budget must cover all connected devices. Cable quality matters, as poor cable and long runs lose power. In camera and Wi-Fi projects it simplifies installation and lets everything be fed from one UPS-backed point.

Så använder SMB Teknoloji det

In camera and Wi-Fi installations we calculate the PoE budget from the device list, use Cat6 or better cabling and put the switch behind a UPS.
