SharePoint is the place in Microsoft 365 where the company's shared files and department libraries live; OneDrive is each employee's personal work folder. Together they are the cloud equivalent of a file server: documents keep version history, people co-author the same file and external sharing is limited by rules. Files in Teams are also stored in SharePoint behind the scenes.
